My name is Jenita Pharaoh . I am 22 years of age . I was born on the 31st of October 2001 . I never grew up with my dad , he lives overseas with his own family , I live with my mom in a 2 bedroom apartment . My mom is 46 years of age , she is a Financial Advisor at Absa Bank , she has been a Financial Advisor pretty much ever since I was born . I have 1 brother and 2 sisters from my Dad's side , they live with him overseas and they are all much younger than me ( I am the eldest child ) . I have completed my high school years ( grade 12 , matric ) in the year 2021 . I now attend College of Cape Town and I am studying Early Childhood Development ( ECD ) the Educare Course , this being my final and last year . My hobbies include reading and hand tennis . I consider myself to be an extrovert and a very outspoken person . I also take my own initiative when necessary . I am a people's person , I get along well with anybody . My previous childcare experiences consists of babysitting and being a day mother . I have babysat for a duration of 6 months and was a day mother for the same duration . I have dealt with children between the ages of 2 - 8 years , the children being both boys and girls . I ensured the safety and well being of the children and made sure that they were well cared for throughout the day , I also made sure a well structured routine and programme was implemented for children . I enjoy babysitting because it gives me great pleasure in seeing children growing and developing on a daily basis . It fills my heart to see a child do something he or she couldn't do before , eg , take a first step or start to hold a scissors for the very first time . I have 2 certificates in my possession ( one for each completed year ) , I will receive another certificate end of December 2023 . Certificates will be available on request . As mentioned above , I currently study at College of Cape Town registered as a full time student for a duration of 3 full years . I obtain certificates that allow me to work as an Educarer in an educare and to open up my own Educare Centre which I plan to do once I return back home from my Au Pair year in the Netherlands . My reason for wanting to be an Au Pair is so that I can experience the diverse religions and diverse cultures of children all around the world , that being said in my opinion Netherlands is the perfect Country to want to experience the different religions and different cultures of each child . I personally think there is no correct or right reason I can give you as to why I should be the chosen Au Pair , I believe that my actions should speak louder than my words so let me show you physically instead of talking to you verbally . As an Au pair I will go above and beyond my duties and responsibilities for your family and children . After my Au Pair year overseas , I see myself as a successful Educarer ready to open up Educare Centres . Thank you for taking the time to hear me out and read my letter .
